Hey, Sweetie--
If there is pain from fingering that likely means your boy is damaging your hymen. If your hymen s tight and intact, there may be pain for you regardless of whether it is broken by his penis or fingers. But for your guy the sensation of breaking through a hymen with his penis would be way more sensual (and for you far more intimate) than fingers.
If you want to save that special cherry-popping experience for when you loose your virginity on your wedding night, tell your guy to keep his fingers out of your vagina. Besides, the most sensual place your want to stimulate in petting/foreplay is the clitoris--which is outside of the vagina.
That gives you all the pleasure and none of the pain, plus saves more pleasure for when you are ready to give it all away.
